Reflections

I recently completed a three-month intensive professional ceramics course at the Corries Bain International School in Barcelona. This program taught me so much about the history of ceramics, and multicultural techniques, and introduced me to teachers who specialized in different traditions. I learned more about ceramics and created a vision of where I want to take my art practice.

I also participated in our class's final exhibition, where I showed these 3 pieces inspired by the landscape of southern Norway and a series of film photos I took there. They are pieces of the landscape, puddles that have formed after extreme storms swept the coast. I created this body of work to share my grief for our changing climate and create moments of reflections on our environmental choices.
